How long do you think it takes to christen 3 children in a Greek Orthodox ceremony? Surprisingly, it only takes 1.5 hours.
Max, Nick and their cousin Avery, were all christened this weekend at the Greek church where we were married, where Andrea and Matt were married, and where all of the children have been previously christened.
It was a beautiful ceremony.
My mom, Alanna, and Teddy were the grandparents that held the 3 kids during the cermony. Steph's sister, Andrea, is Max & Nick's Nouna (god mother) and their cousin, Nikki, is Avery's Nouna. Nick has an honorary Nouna in Mary Michelle. She came down and spent some time with us in Dallas before we all went to Houston.
We were honored that they were all a part of the ceremony and now, a special part of the kids' lives. There were so many other family and friends at the ceremony, too. Then, the Woodyard's threw a great celebration afterwards.
It really was a great weekend.
We didn't take 1 picture. Everyone else did. Hopefully, we'll get them soon and I can share with everyone.
